Today, I fell ill and stayed at home on a Friday.
Caught a show on Channel 8 and an inspiring elderly woman whom is in her 70s quoted,
"bring joy and laughter to the world by contributing while you can. How many are willing to spend their money on those needy/poor families in this world? And how many are willing to spend money on buying branded bags etc?".
An elderly woman in her 70s with no parents since young gave majority of her salary to rural areas to build up school facilities, letting over 300 students receive basic education such as learning simple 26 alphabetical words. It is surprising how passionate someone could be in contributing to the world, in terms of helping the unfortunates citizens. Sometimes in life, I guess we get too focused in ourselves and forget that there are people whom are much more unfortunate.
Another inspiring sentence she had mentioned were, "I finished learning my basic education at the age of 17. I know at that moment that I have to build a school to facilitate the future generation. Despite earning very little during the past, I am glad I scrimped and scraped every pennies for these children now. I don't regret what I've done, but the only regret is I can't do more."
After the show, I nearly cried.
I've seen quite a number of people whom are low educated/handicapped who have only one motive in life, that is so make the world a better place and keeping people happy. My parents and boyfriend are a very great example for me. There are also people whom are sincere and help you when you're in doubt. They help you in every ways despite they're in a horrible state as well. In contrast, I've also seen ratbag in life who lives with one motive, I want to sit here and wait for miracles to happen. These are the people who wait and wait for durians to drop only to get hurt by durians. I can't deny, I used to be one of them. But does it help with my wellbeing? Apparently, no. It actually makes one to be able to live in their own comfort zone waiting for miracles to happen.
I am thankful, for I have a parent and a boyfriend whom I think they are 菩萨. My boyfriend not really, but my mum definitely is. She is one of the very few whom I know who has a heart bigger than the ocean. She helped countless of people, and whomever doesn't have a proper meal at home, she will prepare it for him/her. She is also the one whom take cares of my cousins and everyone.. I can't count how many deeds she have done in her life...
In conclusion to this post, if one with no parents to guide her through her life could live such an abundance life, how could you with a roof over your head with no worries such as food, education, work do nothing about making someone happy?
As much as work and education causes stress, it wouldn't be more stress than living your life with no lights, internet access, water and food right?
So let's come on down and get our life kickkingggg!!
Make people whom are important in your life happy and make people whom are in poor family background live a happier life!!!
