New Zealand :: Skydiving in Taupo

Hello! I'm back with another post on my trip to New Zealand! (click the link if you've yet to read my previous post about NZ). This round I am sharing with you my trip to SKYDIVING!!! We woke up pretty early and went to have our breakfast at Dixie Brown's. Their eggs benedict were so good! Shortly after our breakfast, we drove to Skydive, Taupo! Pretty excited since we'll be diving 15,000 feet off the ground!!! Here are some pictures! Pardon my face as I'm totally unaware the camera kept on shooting me. I was so busy catching a breathe while in the air and caught a few glimpse of the rainbow and volcanoes! It is totally mind blowing! I'm gonna try it again! Enjoy the pictures meanwhile!

 Fooling around hehe

With my coach, Karl.
Last to go. :(
WEEEEEHOO!

OKAY, you really cannot be glam while in the air. LOL
Pretty love this picture. Look at the greens!!
I caption this "finally I get to breathe" face.
I believe I can fly~

I think I was too overjoyed that there were tears in my eyes... Hahaha
Got to play with parachute for a few moments and here's one :)

Waving to my love whom is waiting for me on land. :))
YOU GOTTA TRY IT !!

Here's towards the end of my diving experience. If you're young, go and do it now! NO, be it you're young or old GO AND SKYDIVE!!! This is one of the best accomplishment I've done till date. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Till here, and I'll share my upcoming experience soon on the blog. Next up, Mount Tongorio!! 1 of the best thing I've done so far and it's free! This is definitely in the list of free things to do in New Zealand. LOL. You won't regret it, I promise! So stay tune!!! CHEERS.

Weekends are here! Stay safe & gold!

Rant + New Arrivals

Joifeth had launched a new collection on www.joifeth.com

This shoot was taken recently in New Zealand & across the borders - Johor Bahru. Braved through 11degrees for a couple of shoots & sweat profusely under the sun while in Johor. I'd say I love all this pictures pretty much! ;) A huge thanks to OB for shooting them. Been thinking a lot about shooting back to outdoor however we signed a package from the studio.. Guess I'll pretty much go back to outdoor shoot unless the weather is sucky. :< I can never stand the hot weather in Singapore(haze is not an issue, it hasn't caused any harm to me. I heard people getting sick wearing masks on FB, while the rest who doesn't wear any is not suffering from any sickness. For your info, I walked 3KM back home while PSI is 300+ & I'm still kicking fine. So is my 60+yo dad.)#shutupandstopcomplaininmaskisimportant.

Okay, enough of ranting. Here are some stuff which we've launched & I kept all of them...

Feeling so energised for this week! I hope you'll have a fabulous week ahead! Shall post my daily outfits on my IG http://instagram.com/jiaxin_wong if you haven't! ;) Excited cus I am gonna dress up daily this week! Can't wait!

New Zealand Travelogue :: Whakarewarewa Thermal Village // Dipping in public

Hi everyone,
It has been a hazy week in Singapore, I hope you're not sick! That aside, I am back to blog about my New Zealand trip. This time, I am sharing my journey to Whakareware Thermal Village. We had so much fun there shooting a lil bit for Joifeth . Braved the cold and shoot a couple of pictures for Joifeth. ;) For those who hasn't read about my previous post, you might wanna read them NZ Travelogue 1NZ Travelogue 2 & NZ Travelogue 3 .

Went for a stroll at the lake the next morning. Behind us is Tongoriro - Compound volcano in Taupo Volcanic Zone (North side of New Zealand) // Also the mountain which Frodo & Sam trekked as seen on Lord of the Rings.
While driving to Taupo, we saw a herd of cow!! OB insisted on taking a picture. The cows were looking at him like "what is he doing. why are you taking picture of us" REALLY!!! The cows gave us puzzled look. lol!
Shared our lunch. :) We didn't went anywhere that day... Wasted our day over there.

The next day we went to Whakarewarewa Thermal Village...
We drove back to Rotorua (a.k.a 'the smelly town') named so due to the rather potent smell of Sulphur no matter where you're standing! Here, we of course had to see what all the fuss was about, and where exactly this 'delightful' smell was coming from, so we went out to Whakarewa Thermal Village where we witnessed spurting geysers, steaming hot springs and expolding mud pools which was all very exciting!
We also learnt how the Maori people live amongst the geothermal activity and even got a taster of some traditional Maori dance, food and music.
Over here we discovered how they usually cook. Corn tasted bland but their pies were so good!!!
The waters were so clear and spurting!!
Walking towards the geysers and mud pools.
We had a couple of shoots taken. The view were so magnificent !

 Looks like heaven, no?
Despite breathing in sulphur fumes, we took close to 50 shoots here. And yes, the smell is pretty bad.
Here's my OOTD:
Inner sweater from mom
Sweater from Seoul
Bag from Joifeth (coming soon this week)
Pants from Joifeth (upcoming launch)
Gloves from Daiso (forget about getting this. it barely keeps me warm lol)
Till here!

Whakarewarewa Thermal Village
17 Tryon Street
Whakarewarewa Village
Rotorua
New Zealand
Admission is $35/pax

Drove off and we are on our way to TAUPO! So excited ;)
We went for a dip in public. Pretty much a last min decision, moreover I am totally not prepared to dip in the pool.
 Therefore an awkward position hahaha
and I pulled him in.

It was an exciting experience! Never underestimate what hot pools can do when you're shivering from the cold weather. Close to 5degrees if I remember. And the best thing is, it is FREE!! However we didn't had the time to dip again :(

$10 for a burger. Not a meal for your info.

Then we had Thai food for dinner. Taste so good!! We were relieved when we saw CHILLI.. We even requested to get some chilli as supermarkets doesn't sell them. Btw, the food taste sooooo good! Especially the snapper. Better than Singapore's Thai restaurant. Missing it while typing :(

Thank you for reading!

So that's all for my journey. Next up would be.... SKYDIVING!!! ;) I hope you have a great week ahead and remember to stay tune to our upcoming launch at joifeth ! Xx
